I'm all sorts of things, but mostly a work in progress. Currently based in Michigan, but previously lived in Colorado, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

I think and write a lot about community. I'm relentless in my belief that we achieve our greatest potential alongside others. I previously ran an online community named Writer's Bloc where we helped 100+ others become great writers. Shortly after that, I helped build a global community comprised of founders of the fastest-growing startups in the world. Scale Founders collectively raised $8 billion+ in capital, represented 27 countries, and included 9+ unicorns. Most recently, I have been organizing local events for ambitious professionals.

I have been writing online since I have been eleven and publishing anything from my ideas to participating in message boards. On this site, you'll find most of my writing around career, community, and scaling startups. On Substack, you'll find more of my creative writing.

My career

I am currently Chief Operating Officer of Pneuma, a web and SEO agency. I am also a Managing Partner at Pneuma Ventures, where we partners with founders of service-based businesses and provides them with the processes, systems, and consulting they need to become best in class.

Previously, I helped build On Deck Scale – a community of CEOs leading high growth companies from around the world. I have also worked for other great companies such as Campspot and Tech Defenders in product, operations, and systems capacities.
